My Nose Piercing

On Saturday, I did something spontaneous.

I got myself a nose piercing!

To my parent's dismay but six piercings and 3 tattoos later I don't think they can have a say anymore!

So, I thought I would run through what you need to know before you get your nose did.

It hurts.

I have I would say a normal pain threshold - I have had three tattoos and one on the ankle so my pain threshold is pretty good.

It does not hurt like you think your nose will drop off or something, and it is over fairly quickly. But, it feels like a thick bar has gone through your nose and your eyes water.

Afterwards I did get a headache - but I think this was purely the adrenaline rush that I got and after some food I was fine.

In terms of cleaning it, this has to be two times a day - and I have set a reminder on my phone so hopefully I won't forget.

You can use contact lens solution but I use salt water - a 1/4 teaspoon to 1 cup of hot water.

Of course, you will probably get a lump as well - like I did on my cartilage piercing but they come and go.

And well my nose has not stop running since and the option of blowing my nose is out of the window as it still a little bit sore.

But, apart from that it is worth it and I love it.

Happy Single's Awareness Day

Happy Single's Awareness Day!

Who said that Valentine's Day was just for couples?! As young, fun and amazingly awesome a relationship can be we definitely do not need a plus one to have a good time!

So this Valentine's Day we saying whatever to romance and hello to celebrating and loving ourselves.

What to do?

Just because you're single does not mean that you are a leper.

Go out on the town...if you can't beat them, join them. Instead of sitting at home, go to happy hour at your favourite bar or just dinner with friends.

Have a movie marathon...why not cuddle up on the couch and watch an eye-candy movie:

Magic Mike
How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days
She's The Man
Crazy, Stupid, Love
John Tucker Must Die

What to eat?

What to get yourself?

Why not splurge and treat yourself to something fab?

A spa day, massage or a mani/pedi

Or stay at home and give yourself a treat day - face masks, paint your nails and have a long soak in the bath.

There you have it - your guide to a single girls appreciation day.

Or whatever you are doing today, hope it's a good one....I am currently curled up with my cat watching Netflix..the possibilities are endless!

What are your plans this Valentines/Singles Awareness Day?

Autumn Work-Out Tips

Today, for the first time in a long time, I went for a run!

Since I moved back from Bath I stopped running, and today I finally decided to get back into it, and I feel great.

So, I thought I would share some of my Autumn work-out tips.

Autumn is when the weather starts to turn.

1) Establish a morning workout routine - during this period, the nights are getting darker so make the most of the sun-rising in the morning. It can feel as though its later in the day than it actually is, which can make you feel more tired than usual. Get in the habit of working out in the morning , this will not only give you more energy throughout the day, but it ensures that no matter how lethargic you feel in the evenings, you know you have already got your workout done.

2) Exercise Outdoors - as the temperature begins to cool, take advantage of the outside and the pretty colours and smells. Go on a long walk over the forest for example.

3) Take up a new class - Autumn is the time of year when we feel sluggish and unmotivated - so if you have always wanted to pick up pole dancing this is a great period to perk up your personal and fitness development.

What are your tips for keeping fit in Autumn?
